About the Artist

Clare Winslow is a Washington, DC–based artist whose work explores time, perception, and the quiet structures that shape lived experience. Working across painting and printmaking, she creates layered abstractions that unfold through accumulation, subtle variation, and attentive looking.

Her practice is informed by sustained observation of the natural world and by memory as a shifting, imperfect record. Built through intuitive yet deliberate processes, the work emphasizes transitions in light, texture, and rhythm—inviting a slower, more reflective engagement that resists immediacy and spectacle.
