Printmaking-Monotypes
All the handmade prints you see were created in my art studio in Maryland using high quality inks and heavyweight professional paper. Some were printed by hand, others with a printing press. Media include ink-based monotypes, drypoint, etching, hybrids.
The monotypes are directly influenced by the changes in light, time, and season that I witness through my studio window in Maryland, by memories of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, or the two years I spent living in Japan. I am especially interested in the hushed sense of waiting that accompanies a cusp, such as the advent of spring, the transition to autumn, or the moment between dusk and darkness.
